Where?

All six track meets will be held at Hartford Union High School, Hartford, WI.

Individuals participating in the meet will be allowed into the facility 20min prior to the first heat of their scheduled event. Participants can begin their warm-ups outside the facility, on the school grounds, prior to entry into the facility.

Who?

All ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Individuals will be grouped into heats by seed time entered. Participants do not need to have a USATF or AAU membership.

Spectators will not be able to enter the facility during the track meet. Parents will be able to wait for their children outside the fencing or in their vehicles.

How Many?

To reduce the number of participants inside the facility at one time, there will be a limit of how many people can participate in each event. Relay events will be limited to 4 female teams and 4 male teams. The hurdle events will be limited to 12 females and 12 males. Running events will be limited to 16 females and 16 males.

In non-relay races run entirely in lanes (the 800m Run will be contested entirely in lanes), each heat will have no more than four participants. For non-relay races which do not run entirely in lanes, each each will have no more than eight participants (the only exception will be the 5000m Run on March 27th, which will have all participants run in one heat). All relay races will have no more than four teams in a heat.

Health and Safety Protocols?

All competitors will need to follow the following guidelines:

  • Complete a verbal survey prior to entry to the facility to confirm no signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in past 7 days (OR at least 7 days from onset of any COVID-19 infection signs or symptoms AND at least 72 hours since signs / symptoms have resolved).
  • The survey must also ask participant to confirm no close sustained contact with anyone who is sick within 14 days of the event and no travel within 14 days of the event to an international location with widespread ongoing COVID-19 transmission as determined by the CDC or travel on a cruise ship or river boat.
  • Competitors who have had a documented case of COVID-19 must have written letter from physician indicating they are cleared to compete.
Complete a temperature check on entrance to the competition facility / area confirming temperature < 100.4 F (38.0 C).
  • All entrants to the competition facility / area must wear a face covering / mask at all times, except for athletes when warming up or competing and individuals who have a medical condition where face coverings / mask wearing is contra-indicated.

Additionally, those competitors in the 1600m, 3200m, 5000m, 1500m Racewalk, and all relays except the 4x100 (considered Level 2/Moderate Risk events) will need to present paperwork showing a negative COVID-19 test, which meets one of the three options below:

  1. Option #1 (preferred) - Two negative COVID-19 PCR tests separated by a minimum of 24hrs, performed within 7 days of the event.
  2. Option #2 (most practical) – If access to PCR testing is limited or results from PCR testing is taking longer than ~72h, one negative COVID-19 PCR test performed within 7 days of the event is acceptable.
  3. Option #3 – One negative COVID-19 antigen test, performed within seven days of the event, if ALL of the criteria below are met:
    a) Both the county of residence of the athlete / participant AND the county of the event have a state government reported COVID-19 positivity rate in each of the last two weeks of less than 5%, AND
    b) The athlete / participant is asymptomatic (as reported on the symptom survey and temperature check), AND
    c) The athlete / participant has not had exposure to a person with confirmed COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

If the athlete had a confirmed COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) test via PCR or antigen testing within 90 days of the competition, the athlete can be cleared for a Level 2 / Moderate Risk event within a competition without producing a negative COVID-19 test if all of the following criteria are met:

  1. It has been at least 14 days since the positive COVID-19 test
  2. It has been at least 24 hours with no fever without the use of fever reducing medicine
  3. Other symptoms of COVID-19 are resolved (except for loss of taste or smell, which may take longer to resolve)
